Funding
Since Vattenfall is not a public listed company, and therefore does not have access to equity financing, we have to finance our operations by supplementing our internally-generated funds with external loans.
As a capital-intensive operation, Vattenfall has established a variety of short-term and long-term financing programmes to secure the financial flexibility it needs. Our wholly-owned subsidiary, Vattenfall Treasury AB, is responsible for borrowing, liquidity management and managing the associated risk exposure for the Vattenfall Group.
