How to apply for trainee
Selection criteria
We are looking for 19 new trainees for the Group. The applicants should be recent graduates and, if possible, have completed two educational programmes, one of which resulted in a university degree. A successful candidate should also be proficient in English as well as two other languages. Suitable examinations or backgrounds can be in engineering, business/economics, systems engineering, management and behavioural science. Two candidates will be selected for each of the 19 trainee positions. These 38 candidates will be invited to a seminar in May for assessment. Subsequently, 19 trainees will be selected from this group. Personality plays a key role. Potential candidates will be subject to an EQi test, which examines their emotional intelligence. Candidates should be oriented to “live” our core values – openness, accountability and effectiveness. Candidates also need to be highly mobile and willing to work throughout Europe. The duration of the programme is one year, starting on September 1st.
Programme information
For the first seven months, participants are placed in their home organisation, during which they also attend four weeks of seminars. The candidates subsequently complete two trainee periods of two months each in another country. VITP objectives are general knowledge of the Vattenfall Group, creating "One Vattenfall" and becoming an "Employer of Choice." The trainee's development process will focus on leadership, team building, networking and individual assignments. Upon completion of the programme, each trainee will present a final presentation to his or her home organisation
