What makes you the most enthusiastic about working for Vattenfall?
The first things that cross my mind are the opportunities for individual development and Vattenfall´s long-term thinking. To be a part of the energy generation in northern Europe and to contribute to the safe operation of the Group’s nuclear plants is inspiring. The confidence in our business by our management and by society is rewarding. The company has a strong belief in the future and new investments confirm this. Belief in the future also contributes to the feeling that our employment is secure, which is unique today.
Do you feel that you can develop your career within Vattenfall?
If you are eager and focused, you can go far within the Group, both nationally and internationally. During my 20 years with Vattenfall I have held six different positions and have had the opportunity to grow as a technician as well as a manager. I feel Vattenfall has a genuine interest in encouraging employee development and strives for positive and enthusiastic employees, which in turn bring the company good results.
What advice would you give someone considering applying to Vattenfall?
I can recommend Vattenfall as an employer. There are many positions within the organisation that provide great opportunities for growth and development. You can either specialize or acquire a broader field of competence. Vattenfall has an active preventive health care program and encourages continuing competence development. It is never too late to join Vattenfall; the company understands the advantage of having employees in different ages and areas of competence. I feel that Vattenfall is a company for the future.
