Industrial energy-saving
Vattenfall provides advice and services to industrial customers regarding their energy consumption.
Since we focus on energy-intensive industry – principally pulp and paper, iron and steel and chemical production – you will get great opportunities for improving energy efficiency. Adopting new system solutions that contribute to conserving resources leads to significant environmental improvements. Development work is pursued in close cooperation with you, and the aim is to find solutions that are both economical and environmentally appropriate. These include:
- Outsourcing customer plants to Vattenfall
- Adopting Energy and Process Efficiency (EPE) incentive-based concepts for improving energy and process efficiencies
Incentive-based energy saving
The EPE improvement concept is designed to help you as a large customer in energy-intensive industries improve efficiency. This often leads to reduced environmental impact as well. The EPE concept is currently being implemented by our Nordic Business Unit. A number of projects have also been initiated in Germany.
