Electric and magnetic fields
Our power plants – like other electrical utilities – generate electromagnetic fields. At Vattenfall, we comply with all recommended and legal guidelines regarding electromagnetic fields (EMF).
Although there is no scientific evidence of EMFs causing harmful effects on human health, they are an area of concern for the electricity industry. In line with this, we contribute to the collaborative research undertaken within Elforsk (the Swedish Electrical Utilities R&D company).
