Vattenfall’s certified activities
Operative environmental work is carried out within a framework of environmental-management systems. All our major operations have environmental-management systems. Currently:
- 34 companies have ISO 14001 certification. ISO 14001 is an internationally recognised standard for environmental-management systems. It provides a globally accepted framework for establishing and continually improving applicable management-system processes.
- 8 power stations are certified by EMAS (ECO Management and Audit Scheme, European Union). EMAS is a management tool for companies and other organisations, where it helps to evaluate, report on and improve environmental performance.
An environmental management system is also being implemented at the group level.
