World Childhood Foundation
Our involvement with the World Childhood Foundation is part of our social sponsorship activities. Raising awareness of the needs of children at risk and how these can be satisfied is an important task in our view.
Our involvement boosts our own sense of social responsibility and highlights important issues.
About World Childhood Foundation
It has been five years since Queen Silvia of Sweden took the initiative to create the World Childhood Foundation with the support of 14 co-founders. Today, World Childhood Foundation supports nearly 70 different projects in 14 countries, each of which is unique and developed in very different environments. The main target groups are street children, institutionalised children, girls and young mothers at risk. There is a strong focus on preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation including trafficking of children.The guiding star for all Childhood´s work is the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
