CSR report

Every year, Vattenfall publishes a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report that follows the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines.

The CSR report provides information that enables you to examine how well we have met society’s expectations, so you can assess our performance from an environmental, social and economic perspective.
The 2006 CSR Report is available to order in print format or to download from this site.

What is GRI?

The GRI is a multi-stakeholder process and independent institution whose mission is to develop and disseminate globally applicable Sustainability Reporting Guidelines. Started in 1997, GRI became independent in 2002, and is an official collaborative centre of the United Nations Environment Programme, working in cooperation with UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan’s Global Compact.

Sustainability Reporting Guidelines

These guidelines are for voluntary use by organisations for reporting on the environmental, social and economic dimensions of their activities, products and services. The GRI incorporates active participation of business, accountancy, investment, environmental, human rights, research and labour organisations from around the world. The 2002 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines are the world’s most widely accepted standard for sustainability reporting, with more than 1000 companies using the guidelines worldwide.
