Shareholder and annual general meeting
Vattenfall is 100-per-cent owned by the Swedish State. The Annual General Meeting shall be held no later than six months after the closing of the annual accounts.
At the proposal of the owner, the Annual General Meeting appoints the Board of Directors and adopts the income statement and balance sheet, and deals with other issues that arise in accordance with the Swedish Companies Act (“Aktiebolagslagen”) or the Articles of Association. The Annual General Meeting 2008 was held on 29 April in Stockholm, Sweden. Time and location of the Annual General Meeting 2009 will be announced during autumn 2008 and no later than the time of the third quarter report.
