Hans-Olov Olsson
Born 1941, is vice chairman of the Board and was elected
to the Board in 2004.
Education:
Hans-Olov has studied at the University of Gothenburg and has an M.Sc. in Political Science (Economy and Information Management) from the University of Gothenburg. He has completed a management program at the Harvard Business School. In 2006, Hans-Olov was appointed honorary doctor at the Gothenburg University School for Business, Economics and Law.
Work experience:
He started his career in Volvo 1966 as an engineer and has since then had a number of various leading positions. During the years 2000-2005, he was president and CEO and in 2006, he was appointed chairman of the board for Volvo Personvagnar. During 2006, he was responsible for the Ford Group management.
Board Member:
Hans-Olov is chairman in the trade organisation and employers’ association Teknikföretagen and vice chairman in the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, Svenskt Näringsliv. He is also a member of the board in AB SKF, Lindab International AB, Höganäs AB, Elanders AB, Anna Lindhs Minnesfond and IQ initiativet. He is independent in relation to the Company and the Executive Group Management.
