Production
Ringhals’ reactors supply electricity to the Swedish national grid 24 hours a day, almost all year round.
Every year we produce enough energy to supply six cities the size of Gothenburg. This is equivalent to around 28 TWh annually. The electricity is produced in a safe, and economical way with good environmental properties. Over the next few years we will be increasing power output, which will entail an increase in the electricity production from our reactors. According to our plans, Ringhals will be able to produce an additional approximately 4 TWh per year by 2012.
