Vattenfall Power Consultant arranges seminars to cover topics related to the ongoing reformation of the electric-power sector worldwide.
Our speakers have personal experience in Sweden's highly competitive power market, and with international assignments involving power-sector restructuring. Studies are carried out with respect to organisational structure, legal and financial matters, business administration, and human resources. The results form a basis for re-organising the sector/company and outlining development plans introducing new methods and staff re-employment. We assign advisors to work with our clients to develop their enterprise. Support is provided on a case-by-case basis and covers issues faced by energy ministries or power utility companies, such as long-term strategy, regulatory issues, market development, management information systems, and personnel. We also assist in planning, developing and implementing specialised training centres. Courses are organised to cover a wide variety of training programmes for managers and staff of power utilities, run both in Sweden and at the client's premises. Our courses concern the application of modern power technology, and also include management and administration on different levels. Based on a balance of theory and practical work, we frequently use computer simulation and gaming.
