United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)

This is the website of the secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). It is maintained to support arrangements for meetings organized under the Convention, to transmit official documents and reports, and to assist Parties in communicating other information related to the Convention; it also serves the Kyoto Protocol.

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has been established by WMO and UNEP to assess scientific, technical and socio- economic information relevant for the understanding of climate change, its potential impacts and options for adaptation and mitigation. It is open to all Members of the UN and of WMO.

International Energy Agency

The web site of the International Energy Agency (IEA). IEA acts as energy policy advisor to 26 Member countries in their effort to ensure reliable, affordable and clean energy for their citizens. Current work focuses on climate change policies, market reform, energy technology collaboration and outreach to the rest of the world, especially major producers and consumers of energy like China, India, Russia and the OPEC countries.

Pew Center on Global Climate Change

The Pew Center on Global Climate Change was established in 1998 as a non-profit, non-partisan and independent organization. It brings together business leaders, policy makers, scientists, and other experts to bring a new approach to a complex and often controversial issue. The Center's mission is to provide credible information, straight answers, and innovative solutions in the effort to address global climate change.

Stern Review

Presentation of the Stern Review. Sir Nicholas Stern, Head of the Government Economic Service (UK) and former World Bank Chief Economist was in 2005 asked by the Chancellor to lead a major review of the economics of climate change, to understand more comprehensively the nature of the economic challenges and how they can be met, in the UK and globally.

Simple Model for Climate Policy assessment

SiMCaP (Simple Model for Climate Policy assessment) and its different submodules are currently built in order to facilitate quantitative policy analysis during the 2nd round of commitment negotiations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). SiMCaP was initiated by Malte Meinshausen, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ETH Zurich, and Bill Hare, Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research & Greenpeace International in July 2003.

Princeton Environmental Institute. Carbon Mitigation Initiative

The Carbon Mitigation Initiative is a joint project of Princeton University, BP and the Ford Motor Company to find solutions to the greenhouse and global warming problem.
