Vattenfall 100 years

Last year Vattenfall celebrated its 100th anniversary. Throughout 2009 we arranged various activities on the theme ‘Making Electricity Clean’ in the countries in which we have operations.

Energy and climate are issues of great importance to all of us. As a leading European energy company, we are part of the climate problem, but we are also part of the solution. We hope that our Centennials activities have given us the opportunity to meet and have a dialogue with you as customers, as well as illustrate and concretize our energy and climate ambitions and visualise our goal to be living in a sustainable society.

A Centennial is an occasion to review our history, but above all, it is an opportunity to look into the future towards the coming century. Looking back on the year 2009 we will see it as a stepping-stone towards realizing our strategy to be climate-neutral - Making Electricity Clean.
