Sustainable Cities
The transition for a city towards a more sustainable use of energy, where it lowers its CO2 emissions and increases its energy efficiency, requires long-term planning.
Necessary changes will create a need for new products and services. Vattenfall can contribute with a unique system integration perspective, and its knowledge to make cities, consumers and companies more energy conscious.
By connecting existing products such as district heating, cooling, decentralized energy production (heat pumps), and energy demand monitoring (visualization) among others, Vattenfall will meet the cities’ climate challenges by proactive partnerships.
Partnership for a sustainable city
The number of major cities defining their own ambitious climate targets beyond EU or national regulations is steadily increasing. Many are working closely with Vattenfall to identify their local needs and to find the best possible sustainable energy solution, for example in Amsterdam, Uppsala, Berlin and Hamburg.
