Every year Vattenfall spends billions of Euros on the procurement of goods and services to support the delivery of our business activities. The broad spectrum of goods and services procured ranges from fuel for our generation units to outsourced works and services; from large scale investments like turbines to office material and IT solutions. 

In the course of this activity, we are responsible for delivering value to our owner and customers, whilst observing efficient and responsible procurement practices. We strive for efficient IT solutions such as e-procurement, incorporating Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in our procurement and focusing on the internationalization and integration of procurement to establish one interface towards our suppliers.

For supply of external resources in our core countries, Vattenfall's internal RMC is a Managed Service Provider (MSP) ensuring supply when there is a need of external “by hour” resources..
