Ski sponsorships

Winter and winter sports have a clear relation to Vattenfall´s historical heritage in the North and to our product electricity. We’ve been engaged in ski sports since 1994 when we became sponsor to the Swedish Ski Association.

We know that many of our customers and employees are interested in ski sports and we want to engage in their passion. To be able to meet the ski interested audience on all our markets, we are now engaged in skiing internationally. We cooperate with the International Ski Federation (FIS) and Vasaloppet winter week since 2010 and from 2011 we are also partners to four German downhill skiers and the French Ski Federation.

With our sponsorships we support established ski athletes as well as children and young talents starting their careers.  We also want to make skiing more fun for people who enjoy skiing on their holidays. One example of our engagement is the smart phone application “King of the slope” that we launched last season.

We are looking forward to follow the exiting events both in the Alpine and Cross-country World Cups. And we will of course have a special focus on the Alpine World Ski Championships in Schladming, Austria, Feb 4-17 as well as the Nordic World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme, Italy, Feb 20-March 3 in 2013.
