Our markets
Vattenfall has decided to focus on three core markets: Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands.
All of them are markets in which Vattenfall has a top three position, and together they account for around 85 per cent of the total cash flow.
The fact that core markets have been defined does not mean that we will not operate on other geographical markets. For instance in the United Kingdom Vattenfall is a big player in wind power, although not aiming at a role as a major full-scale energy company, and we also remain interested in acquiring hydro power in France.
Vattenfall also has operations in Poland, Finland, Denmark, the UK and Belgium. Possibilities to divest some of those activities are being investigated, but no decisions have yet been taken.
