How do I apply for a job at Vattenfall?
We advertise all open vacancies in all countries in which Vattenfall is operating in our global job database. Have a look at the current job advertisements on the "Job search" page and apply for your favourite jobs online by registering in our database and creating your own profile.
You can search for jobs by countries, functional areas or position types to find interesting job offers. You can also register for the career agent to receive new job offers via e-mail. This enables you to be aware at all times which jobs are new in the system and fit your profile.

What happens to my application when I have applied?
Once you have applied for a job online in the job database you will receive an e-mail confirming your application. If you don’t receive this e-mail make sure that you have submitted your application. Our recruiters treat all applications confidentially. On the basis of the applications we contact people who best match the job criteria.

Can I complete my application at a later stage?
Yes, you can stop your application and complete it at a later stage. Vattenfall will receive your application first after you have submitted it. Please be aware that you must submit your application within 21 days at the latest (or before application deadline). After 21 days it is not possible to access the application due to system timeout.

How will I know that Vattenfall has received my application?
As soon as your application is submitted to Vattenfall a confirmation e-mail will be sent to your stated e-mail address.
Note: If you should not receive a confirmation e-mail, please check your spam filter in your e-mail account and the correctness of your stated e-mail address under “My profile” in the “Main details” section.

Does rejection for one job mean I cannot apply for other positions?
Absolutely not! Of course you can apply for other positions at Vattenfall.

Can I apply for several jobs at the same time?
If you are interested in more than one job offer you can apply for several vacant positions at the same time.

Which kind of documents should I upload for my application?
Please note that we find your CV and cover letter of importance. You are of course welcome to upload any other documents that will support your application.

What should I do if I have forgotten my password for my personal log in?
If you have forgotten your password please click on the link “Please e-mail my password to me” in “My profile”. By providing us with your e-mail address you will receive a link via e-mail which enables you to reset your password. Please be aware that this link is only valid for a period of 24 hours.

What can I do if I want to register, but the error message “The e-mail address you supplied is already registered with us” appears?
1) You are able to reset your password by clicking on the link “Please e-mail my password to me” under “My profile”.
2) If you already have registered for the career agent you can log in with your stated data under “My profile” and then continue applying for the chosen job offer.

Technical questions
What does the career agent function offer?
After registering for the career agent you will receive all job offers within your chosen criteria directly via e-mail.
Note: If you should not receive an e-mail confirming your registration with the career agent, please check your spam filter.

For how long is the career agent function valid?
The career agent will be activated for a period of six months after registering. You can log in to “My profile” to change your career agent criteria in order to optimise your job search function or to deactivate your career agent.

What does "My profile" offer?
Under “My profile“ you can update, continue and send your current application and personal data at any time. You can also change your career agent criteria.

What does Vattenfall use my e-mail address for? Can I change my e-mail address after the registration?
The complete communication within the application process between Vattenfall and you will be conducted via your stated e-mail address (private as well as official business e-mail address). Therefore please be aware of the fact that every person with access rights to your e-mail address will be able to get information about the recruitment process. You can change your e-mail address under “My profile” in the section “Main details” by clicking on “Modify log in details”.

I do not have access to my application. Whom can I contact?
For general HR questions you are very welcome to contact our local HR Direct. For specific questions regarding a vacant position, contact stated recruiter.

How do I delete my account on the Vattenfall website?
If you would like to delete your account on the Vattenfall website, please contact the stated recruiter who is responsible for the job offer you have applied to. The recruiter will then delete your account and all personal data. It is possible to keep your personal profile and only delete the application for a certain job. You can then apply for other jobs at Vattenfall in the future.

Which data formats and sizes do my documents need to have to be uploaded?
In “My profile” in the section “CV upload” you are able to upload all necessary documents for your application. Following data formats are valid: pdf, xls, doc, tif, gif, jpg and rtf.
Unfortunately we are not able to process any other data formats. Please note that the size of your uploaded documents must not exceed 5 MB.

Which browsers are supported?
Our job database is optimised for the Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 and 8.0. Please be aware that older versions or different browsers might not fully support the functions of the system or the graphical layout.

You are welcome to contact the stated recruiter directly. He or she will be able to answer you all questions concerning the job offer and the recruitment process.

In which sense are my personal data secured?
Your data are only accessible by authorised persons within Vattenfall Group and are treated confidential. All personal data that you have provided in your application form are controlled by Vattenfall AB. The personal data is handled in accordance with the Swedish Personal Data Act and other relevant legislation, which is based on an EU Directive. Data Privacy Statement

How long does Vattenfall store the application and my personal data?
In case your application concerns a specific job, the personal data you have provided in the application form will be deleted from the job database no later than two years after the recruitment is finished. This time period might be prolonged in case the recruitment decision is appealed.
In case you have provided a general application, we will store your personal data no longer than two years and then delete the information, unless you allow us to continue the handling of your personal data.

Who has access to my data?
Vattenfall AB will only make information available for HR departments of companies within the Vattenfall Group or persons within Vattenfall Group directly involved in recruitment processes.
