Through experience and knowledge from various industry and energy facilities, Vattenfall contributes to increase the value of our customers’ assets by higher efficiency, lower costs and a better environmental profile. Vattenfall has gained deep knowledge in this field, especially from energy intensive industries such as pulp and paper, iron and steel, mining and mineral and chemical production.

Development of efficient energy and process solutions is pursued in close co-operation with the customer, and the aim is to find solutions reducing both cost and environmental impact.

Incentive-based energy and process efficiency

Energy and Process Efficiency (EPE) is an incentive-based concept designed to help you as an energy-intensive industry to improve energy and process efficiency, often leading to reduced environmental impact as well. The remuneration is based on the performance of identifying, adapting and implementing measures creating value for the customer. The EPE concept has been successfully used in a large number of projects over the past ten years.
