Employee development

Securing and providing development opportunities for our employees is essential for Vattenfall’s success.

At Vattenfall, our people have the chance to work in various disciplines, business areas, countries and cultures. We need people who view challenges as opportunities to be seized, and are keen to develop themselves professionally and personally.
We also recognise that world-class management is crucial to our ability to meet the challenges of the global energy market.

Competence transfer

Experienced employees are critical to our future operations, and we have a range of tools designed to take care of this valuable resource. One example is the mentor programme. This programme gives experienced managers and specialists a way to share their professional skills and work experience with younger employees.

International assignments

As a large multicultural corporation, Vattenfall needs employees with broad international experience. We encourage employees to move across international and company borders, and support cultural awareness and language skills.

Vattenfall International Rotation programme (VIRP)

This programme is a part of the Vattenfall Global Leadership Development Programme and has been developed and designed for Young Potential within Vattenfall Group. During the programme participants have possibility to build network, increase internal mobility and strengthen group knowledge. They work in virtual teams on projects tasks related to Vattenfall business and have a opportunity to change their workplace with rotation partners two times for one week during the programme.

Global Leadership Development Programmes
