Code of Conduct for Suppliers
Operating in the energy sector entails a lot of responsibility – with respect to our owner, customers, employees, the environment, the business community and the communities in which we operate.
To ensure that we meet our responsibilities, Vattenfall’s operations are based on our company philosophy and core values displayed in Vattenfall’s Code of Conduct.
Subscribing to the UN Global Compact and applying it’s fundamental principles in the areas of human rights, working conditions, the environment and the fight against corruption, is one way for us to show our responsibility throughout the entire value chain of our operations, including our suppliers. Therefore, we ask all our suppliers to agree with the ten UN Global Compact principles as explained in Vattenfall's Code of Conduct for Suppliers.
The purpose of the Code of Conduct for Suppliers is:
- To be a platform to secure the right behaviour for long trustful and sustainable business relations
- To create an awareness of Corporate Social Responsibility among our suppliers
